Sex Therapy
Sex therapy is a branch of psychotherapy dedicated to improving your sexual health. This may include addressing erectile disorder, pain during sex, discrepancies in the levels of sexual desire between partners, and much more. While a portion of sessions will be dedicated to discussing sex specifically, we also address other aspects related to your sexuality: body image, current and past relationships, upbringing, communication skills, stress management, mind-body connection… Sex therapy can be done individually or in couples and welcomes individuals of any sexual and gender orientation, religion, and cultural background.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book an appointment?
You may book online, use the contact form, or call 780-532-4944
What can I expect at my first appointment?
During our first session we will go through standard consent paperwork
What can I expect during a sex therapy session?
A sex therapy session is not much different from a regular therapy session. In the following sessions we will work on exploring engrained thoughts about you sexuality, we may discuss events that happen in between session in as much or as little detail as you are comfortable. The goal is to explore what you take away from your experiences, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and create new avenues for pleasure and connection. Most importantly, sessions will follow your pace in a judgement-free environment
Should my partner be involved in therapy?
If you are in a stable relationship, it can be helpful to include your partner but not necessary. Although sexual issues undoubtedly affect the couple, some topics may be addressed individually before involving your partner. During individual sessions, we may address early sexual experiences, individual exercises, and topics that you may not be ready to bring up to your partner. During joint sessions, we may discuss sexual communication, joint exercises, and changes to your current sexual dynamic.
Do you take insurance?
Yes! Currently, I offer direct billing through SunLife. I am working to offer Blue Cross and GreenShield for clients, but it is not an option currently. You will be given a receipt after every session that you can submit to your insurance provider if you have an alternative provider.
What if I don't have insurance?
No insurance? No Problem! You may also pay by cash, debit card, credit card, and Interact E-Transfer.
